<div>ACM Interactive Surfaces and Spaces (ACM ISS 2016), formerly known as</div>
<div>the ACM International Conference on Interactive Tabletops and</div>
<div>Surfaces (ITS) is being held in Niagara Falls, Canada from November</div>
<div>6-9, 2016. </div>
<div><br>

<div>The ISS demo session provides a great opportunity for authors to present their</div>
<div>prototypes, products and applications to conference attendees. We will provide</div>
<div>a large area in which you will be able to showcase your best interactive </div>
<div>experiences and commercial products. Our goal is to provide a highly inter-</div>
<div>active forum for lively discussions and hands-on experiences.</div>

</div>
<div>Copyright to ISS demo videos and abstracts is retained by the authors, and the</div>
<div>material from them can be used as the basis for future publications as long as</div>
<div>there are "significant" revisions from the original. However, submissions that</div>
<div>include an extended abstract will be included in the ACM Digital Library so</div>
<div>other researchers are able to find, read, and cite them.</div>

<div>A demo submission will allow you to:</div>

<div>* Show your demonstration during the posters & demos reception at the ISS 2016</div>
<div> conference and get feedback from the conference attendees (there will also be</div>
<div> a Best Demo Award at the conference)</div>
<div>* Publish an extended abstract of the demo in the electronic conference</div>
<div> proceedings in the ACM DL</div>
<div>* Publish an optional video of up to 3 minutes long in electronic conference</div>
<div> proceedings in the ACM DL</div>
<div>* Introduce your demo alongside other authors in a plenary fast-forward</div>
<div> (madness) session at the conference</div>

<div>Preparing the Submission:</div>

<div>All submissions must include:</div>

<div>* a 2-4 page paper in the 2014 SIGCHI extended abstract format. Submissions</div>
<div> should not be anonymized. Accepted submissions will be published on the </div>
<div> ACM digital library.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>* a still image of the demonstration in JPG or PNG format showing the</div>
<div> envisioned setup in 16:9 aspect ratio with a minimum resolution of</div>
<div> 1920x1080 pixels.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>* a plain-text document describing the space, hardware, electricity and</div>
<div> lighting requirements of your demo setup.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>* an optional (but highly encouraged) video of up to 3 minutes length and at</div>
<div> most 50MB in size.</div>

</div>
<div>The maximum page limit for the extended abstract is 4 pages and includes all</div>
<div>figures and references, and must be in the 2014 SIGCHI Extended Abstracts</div>
<div>Format (http://www.sigchi.org/publications/chipubform). This format utilizes</div>
<div>the "Lastname, F.M." author-name reference style, not the more recent</div>
<div>"Firstname M. Lastname" convention. The extended abstract should include a</div>
<div>concise description of the idea, the results or findings, supporting imagery</div>
<div>and figures, and a discussion of the implications of the work to the selected</div>
<div>domain. Full literature searches are not expected, although relevant citations</div>
<div>should be included.</div>

<div>Accepted submissions for the demo session will be curated by the demo chairs</div>
<div>based on factors such as available space, hardware and environmental</div>
<div>requirements, novelty, and scientific value. As there is only one week after</div>
<div>notifications to the final camera-ready deadline, it is not possible to make</div>
<div>large changes before the camera-ready deadline. Final camera-ready versions</div>
<div>of accepted papers must be accompanied by a signed copyright form which will</div>
<div>be provided to accepted authors. </div>

<div>All submissions conflicting with one or more guidelines will be removed before</div>
<div>the curating process to assure that all demos can be curated and published</div>
<div>on-time.</div>

<div>Your extended abstract, still image and optional video should be submitted by</div>
<div>September 2, 2016 to the Precision Conference System. The abstract must be in</div>
<div>PDF format.</div>

<div>Demo abstracts will be reviewed and selected by the demo chairs. Confidentiality</div>
<div>of submissions is maintained during the review process. All rejected submissions</div>
<div>will be kept confidential in perpetuity. All submitted materials for accepted</div>
<div>submissions will be kept confidential until the start of the conference.</div>

<div>Presentation at the Conference:</div>

<div>For each accepted demo, at least one author must register for the ISS 2016</div>
<div>conference. Authors are expected to bring the accepted demos to the conference</div>
<div>site with them, set them up, and be present throughout the demo session. During</div>
<div>a dedicated demo session, the author(s) will have the opportunity to present</div>
<div>and discuss their work with conference attendees.</div>

<div>In general, we can provide one regular-sized table (approximately 80 x 120 cm</div>
<div>or 3" x 6") and two chairs as well as an US-style power strip with 3 outlets.</div>
<div>If your demo has any special requirements beyond this, please make sure to</div>
<div>specify those in the requested document.</div>

<div>Upon acceptance, ACM will send you a copyright form, which you have to</div>
<div>complete. Once completed, we will provide you with the new copyright</div>
<div>information to be put on your paper. You can then submit the final version</div>
<div>(including the new copyright notice) through the submission system by September</div>
<div>16th 2016.</div>
