Title: Investigating the Viability of Automated, Intuitive, and Contextual Insights for Chronic Disease Self-Management using Ubiquitous Computing Technologies

Confidence

3 (Very confident - I am knowledgeable in the area)

Contribution to UbiComp

This submission proposed to investigate the development of technology to
deliver automated, intuitive, and contextual Insights for the management
of chronic diseases. The approach taken is based on observations, probes,
   and technology development.

Overall Rating

5 (Probably accept: I would argue for accepting this paper.)

The Review

This is a very well defined research plan, with some important initial
steps already on the way or concluded. The research questions are clear
and the situation of the research within the existing panorama is very
well defined. It is also a very important topic that is directly related
with wearables and therefore part of an important sector within Ubicomp.

The doctoral student seems to be at a good time for gathering feedback
and guidance on how to continue explorations and round up the research,
so a participation to the DC is appropriate and welcomed.

During the DC the student should focus the discussion in particular on
how to ensure to have some tangible results in stage IV and V of the
   proposed research.

   *************************
Camera-ready requirements: the current submission does not follow all
specific requirements laid out in the Call for papers
   (http://ubicomp.org/ubicomp2016/calls/doctoral.php). Specifically, it
would be good to make a clearer distinction between research carried out
and planned, and add a distinct section on the contributions to Ubicomp.
