[dcchairs2016] [Ubicomp DC] Travel Support

Dear Nadir and Max,

I would agree with both: offering to cover transportation and/or
covering accommodation for students would work. It might bring even more
networking opportunities for the PhD students among each other if we put
them into the same hotel, making the DC even more immersive. However,
arranging hotels might also be more difficult to organize (because of
different travel dates/times, preferences for rooms, etc.).

If you'd like to reach out to Shwetak, then please just do so and feel
free to decide between the two of you how a) the NSF money could be used
(what would work and what wouldn't) and b) what to do specifically for
his student.

best regards,
Rene
